Lexie (she/her) is a community and events organizer, gardener, researcher and storyteller, and enjoys a good mise en place. She holds her BA in Literature from the University of North Carolina-Asheville. She recently received her Masters of Arts in Critical Craft Studies from Warren Wilson College and continues to research craft fairs and gather oral histories from counter-cultural crafts communities.
Raised in the wetlands of coastal GA, Lexie’s writing and research draw from her experiences with roadside food stands, family ephemera, flea market snacks, and small-town kinship.
She is the editor-at-large for The Dirty Spoon, serves on the board of the Chow Chow, Asheville’s culinary food festival celebrating Southern Appalachian foodways, and does leadership and development work for Asheville Ultimate Club.
